Prior to moving to Eden Prairie in 2000, Brad served as an newspaper editor and hard news reporter. In Eden Prairie he worked as an executive in high-tech firms, including ADC Telecommunications and Allot Communications. More recently he has worked in high-tech firms in Minnesota and in Silicon Valley while residing in Eden Prairie. Brad graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA, and has a Master of Business Communications degree from the University of St. Thomas (UST). Brad is currently researching high-tech entrepreneurial leadership for a doctorate from the UST-School of Education. “Brad the Dad” has three children, one grown, two in Eden Prairie schools, and especially enjoys exploring Eden Prairie’s trials and lakes with his wife Sandi.

Starting Thursday, June 17 road work will close Baker Road for up to five weeks, according to a Hennepin County transportation department update. Note: Local access will be maintained for businesses and residents.  People should expect local access routes to change as crews work in the area. June 7, 2021, Eden Prairie, MN –  Sharon Krumm, Council President for Prairie Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota announced the retirement of Pastor Joel Quie at the end of June, in a June 7, news release.  Pastor Quie has served as lead pastor for the congregation for twenty-five years, accepting the call to join Prairie Lutheran in June 1996.  Pastor Quie informed the Council and congregation of his plans to retire in February of this year.  Prairie Lutheran Church is holding a celebration for Pastor Quie on Sunday, June 13th with a special worship service from 9:00-10:30 a.m. and reception afterwards…

Construction crews will be building a temporary acceleration lane from northbound Highway 43 to eastbound Highway 212 starting next Tuesday, June 1, weather and schedule permitting, according to a Carver County Public Works announcement. During this work, short delays on Highway 212 are possible on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Drivers are reminded to watch for flaggers directing traffic. Mask mandate lifted in Minnesota In an announcement on Friday, May 14, the city of Eden Prairie signalled it was following the executive order by Governor Tim Walz ending the Minnesota statewide mask mandate. Brown, Jane Carol (nee Rudsenske), of Eden Prairie passed away at the age of 91 on January 8, 2021. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Carol was born on July 4, 1929 in Madelia, MN to George and Grace Rudsenske. She received her education degree from Macalester College.  She married her husband Jim in 1951. At 5:39 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, a pedestrian walking in the crosswalk at the intersection of Valley View Rd. and Prairie Center Dr. (near Lake Smetana) was struck by a dark-colored sedan.
