The announcement was made in an email EPHS Principal Nate Gibbs sent to families. Brandt has served as the office professional for student activities since July 2022. In that capacity, she coordinated team schedules and travel, supported students who wished to start new activities and oversaw activity registration, among other duties.

Her athletic career includes being the assistant captain for the South Korea national ice hockey team. Brandt previously served as a special education teacher at Academy for Sciences and Agriculture High School in Little Canada.
