Author: Amy Nylander

Amy was born and raised in New York City by two parents who were born and raised in a small town in Iowa. It explains a lot. She attended Grinnell College where she majored in American Studies, discovered the pros and cons of co-ed bathrooms, and literally met the boy next door. After they married and briefly mooched off his parents (one star; do not recommend), they established their home and family in Eden Prairie over 30 years ago. As a stay-at-home mom of three kids, Amy developed mad skills organizing chaos, and as such, has volunteered at, worked for, and started a variety of non-profit initiatives, including a community resale shop, school activities, fundraisers, political action, and currently EPLN. She enjoys reading, streaming, knitting, reminding people that “invite” is not a noun, and coffee with friends. Contact Amy at amy.nylander@eplocalnews.org.
