Winter is coming: PROP Shop coat drive begins

    By Amy NylanderAugust 1, 2021Updated:August 1, 20212 Mins Read

Cleaning out a closet? Upgrading an outfit? Outgrowing a garment?

Donations of new and gently used coats and other winter gear (hats, mittens, gloves, snow pants) for all sizes and genders are welcome year-round at the PROP Shop. Moreover, even as a heat wave bakes the area, the PROP Shop is gearing up for a winter coat drive.

Donations can be dropped off at the PROP Shop located at 15195 Martin Drive, Eden Prairie, 55344 Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10:00am – 3:00pm.

Families living in Eden Prairie and Chanhassen who are in need and have children under the age of 18, can register children for winter coats.

To sign up, call PROP Shop Family Services at 952-224-7052, from August 2-31, 2021. According to the PROP Shop’s Family Services Coordinator Kyle Rose, callers will be asked to provide their name, phone number, address, and the size needed for each child.

Callers can also make an appointment during the call for monthly shopping in the Family Services area of the PROP Shop. Winter coats will be available for pickup in late September through early October.

The PROP Shop, sells new and gently used items to the public. In addition, a separate Family Service Center at the PROP Shop provides clothing, housewares, and furniture to Eden Prairie and Chanhassen families and individuals in need.
