    EPLN OBITUARIES

Christine Caroline Mulder, born June 27, 1976, passed on Dec. 20, 2022.

She is survived by her parents, Ken and Sharon Mulder, brother, Reyer Mulder, sister-in-law Kelly Mulder, and niece Mackenzie Caroline Mulder, as well as the Theobald and Mulder cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is preceded in death by her grandma Matilda (Tillie) Mulder, grandma Caroline (Carol) Theobald, uncle Ronald (Ron) Theobald, cousin Andrew (Andy) Burnett, and uncle Richard Mulder.

She graduated from Eden Prairie High School and attended the University of Wisconsin – Superior, where she met and made a group of lifelong friends. She worked diligently for ICE (Elle Mae) Mortgage Company and Walmart in Eagan, where she touched an untold number of lives.

Her family remembers her as a light to this world, the sweetest soul, and someone who brought joy wherever she went. Her middle name made her the sixth generation Caroline in her family, and her niece carries on the tradition as the seventh generation Caroline. Her greatest love was her niece, whom she enjoyed spoiling as only an aunt can do.

Christine enjoyed fishing and boating on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes in Crosslake, Minnesota, with family. From early on as a kid, Christine fished for hours on the dock, and as an aunt, was Kenzie’s fishing instructor every summer. She also loved camping since she was small and went on family campouts with her parents and brother – making new friends wherever they were. As an adult, she was the record keeper of the annual Theobald Family Campout from 2002 to 2022, making sure we recorded our memories every year.

A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Klecatsky and Sons Eagan Chapel, 1580 Century Point. Friends and family are invited to share stories and memories of Christine.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Special Olympics, which Christine supported by participating in the annual Minnesota Polar Plunge.
