The fourth annual Eden Prairie ECO EXPO will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 12, in Center Court at Eden Prairie Center. The free, family-friendly event features a wide range of activities and attractions with eco-friendly vendors and booths.

Tim Conners, ECO EXPO event chair for Eden Prairie AM Rotary, which hosts the event, said its goal is to inspire residents of Eden Prairie and surrounding communities to live sustainably and contribute to their city’s sustainability goals.

Over 50 exhibitors and sponsors will be on hand to display eco-focused products and services. The event will also feature eco-based hands-on activities for all ages, including a free family zone with games, seed planting activation with the University of Minnesota Master Gardeners, healthy eating cooking demonstrations, and a petting zoo with baby goats. Underdog Rescue will be there with adoptable dogs. A raffle for exhibitor-donated eco-friendly items will also be held. Items are listed on the event website along with a list of exhibitors and schedule at EPecoexpo.org.

“We are so excited to partner with our sponsors, and exhibitors to bring this inspiring, informative, and fun event to our community,” said Conners, who added that the focus of the event was motivated by Rotary International’s efforts to protect the environment. More information on their initiative can be found via this “Protecting the Environment” link.

According to Conners, event exhibitors will offer practical steps people can take that together can make a huge impact for the community and the world. Students are may also talk with experts about eco-based internships and careers.
