Southbound Prairie Center Drive from Technology Drive to Flying Cloud Drive will close on Monday, July 8.
This closure is part of the ongoing Prairie Center Drive pavement rehabilitation project, which began the week of June 24. The project includes pavement replacement, a new flashing-yellow-arrow traffic signal, pedestrian safety enhancements at Regional Center Drive, and minor utility improvements.
The detour route for the closed section of southbound Prairie Center Drive is northbound Prairie Center Drive to eastbound Valley View Drive to southbound Flying Cloud Drive. Access to local businesses is available along the detour route or alternative streets adjacent to Prairie Center Drive. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to access local businesses and navigate through the area.
Work on the southbound portion of Prairie Center Drive is expected to be completed by July 23. Following that, southbound Prairie Center Drive from Highway 212 to Technology Drive will be closed from July 29 to Aug. 7.
The project’s work will proceed in stages, each involving directional closures and detours, and is expected to be completed by late September.
