This year’s Dance with Courage event, hosted by Dance Arts Centre, raised $23,854.08 for True Friends, exceeding their original goal of $20,000.

True Friends is a nonprofit organization that provides programs for children and adults with disabilities, including camp and respite programs, at locations such as Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie.

Throughout the annual fundraiser, dancers affiliated with Dance Arts Center, serving the Eden Prairie and Chanhassen area, compete with their teams to raise funds for True Friends. They do this through power hours, team and individual competitions, and pop-up challenges, all while working together to reach an all-studio goal.

The Fusion competition team earned first place, while the Starlight team and Xtreme team finished second and third, respectively. Midwest Starz dance competition and Twin Cities Orthopedics provided premium-level sponsorships for this year’s event.
