EPLN Staff ReportsBy EPLN Staff ReportsJune 6, 2023Updated:June 6, 20232 Mins Read

A memorial service was held on June 1 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie for Harold Robert (Bob) Dreyer, 91, and his wife Joyce Marie Dreyer, 86. The service was followed by a celebration of life at the Bryant Regional Park pavilion in Eden Prairie.

Bob passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2023, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage, as well as his mother, Lois Larsen, and sister, Barbara Manley.

Joyce, who died on Dec. 12, 2020, was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel Schultek, as well as her brother Clarie Schultek.

They are survived by their children, Steve Dreyer (Nan) (Anna), Sandra Dreyer-Logelin, Linda Mickschl (Richard), Tom Dreyer (Linda); grandchildren Brianna (Bryant), Stephanie (Mike), Brian, Olivia, Katie, Alex, Michael, Claire (Taylor), Sydney, Brendan; great-grandchildren, Vincent, Emma, Winter, Haley, Mia and Louis; her brother, Dennis Schultek (Mary), and his brother William Dreyer (Cheryl).

Bob was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a friend to many. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, a lifelong Minnesota sports fan, and enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, particularly golf and fishing. He had a successful 45-year career in the printing industry, where he met many lifelong friends.

Joyce was a kindhearted, loving soul, who was devoted to family, had a welcoming heart, and made everyone her friend.
