Chick-fil-A in Eden Prairie is now open for business.

The fast-food restaurant, located on the southwest corner of Flying Cloud Drive and Prairie Center Drive, began serving customers on Thursday. It is owned and operated by Andrew Armstrong, who also owns the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Chanhassen.

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A has more than 20 locations in the Twin Cities. In 2020, it was ranked as the fourth-largest restaurant chain in America by sales.

Operating hours for the Eden Prairie Chick-fil-A location are from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The restaurant boasts two drive-thru lanes, with one exclusively for mobile orders placed through the Chick-fil-A app.

In honor of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. donated $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Minneapolis area to aid in the fight against hunger.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Eden Prairie recognized 100 local heroes making an impact in the Eden Prairie area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.

The restaurant is part of an ongoing commercial and apartment construction project at the corner, which includes the Paravel Apartments, a Bank of America branch, and a proposed Amazon Fresh grocery store. Though the 40,000-square-foot grocery store’s outer shell and parking lot have been constructed, additional work has stopped, as reported by EPLN last month.

Although the project was labeled as the “Flying Cloud Commons Grocery Store” during the city approval process, none of the permits specify Amazon Fresh by name. However, its design matches those of other Amazon Fresh stores that have been built.
