    EPLN OBITUARIES

John “Jack” Hagberg, 78, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on June 3.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Hagberg. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna (Miller) Hagberg, son Kyle Hagberg, daughter, Kari (Shane) Steinbrecher, and grandchildren, Abigail, Colton, and Isabella, along with his only cousin Shirley Breitner.

Jack grew up in Minneapolis and attended Southwest High School, playing football and basketball. He attended St. Cloud State University, where he earned his business degree, then served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as an insurance agent until retirement.

Jack and Donna raised their family in Eden Prairie. He enjoyed golfing and being out on the lake fishing. He shared many fishing weekends with his family and friends. Jack will be remembered for his great and wonderful dry sense of humor, his strong will, and the deep love he had for his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope. Call (763) 535-4112 for more information. A private family interment will be held at Fort Snelling Cemetery.
