    SWLRT construction through February 11

    SWLRT update

    Active construction work on Southwest Light Rail will continue in select zones along the alignment in Eden Prairie and other cities throughout the winter, according to a SWLRT notice dated January 29.

    Weather conditions may alter anticipated work times. In Eden Prairie, motorists and pedestrians can expect to encounter work crews and construction vehicles and detours in the following areas through February 11.

    The SouthWest Station area
    Piling and concrete work.

    Purgatory Park (near SW Station)
    Temporary closure of one access lane to the lake side park and veterans memorial on February 3.

    Prairie Center Drive
    Concrete work and bridge walkway preparation during the week of February 1.

    Closure: Prairie Center Drive north bound near Technology Drive. Thursday February 4 between 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. See map for detour route.

    Closure: Prairie Center Drive south bound near Technology Drive. Week of February 8. The exact date is pending.

    Valley View Road (near Flying Cloud Drive)

    Crews will be working on the LRT bridge deck.

    Shady Oak Road at Highway 212

    Crews will be placing LRT bridge beams along the Shady Oak Road LRT bridge starting the week of February 1. This work will impact Flying Cloud Drive and Shady Oak Road motorists for several weeks.

    Closure: Flying Cloud Drive. During the week of February 1, motorists can expect multiple closures.
    Closures: Shady Oak Road. In mid-February, motorists can expect multiple closures.
