The Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary Club and Sisters of Swing are presenting the music of The Andrews Sisters and the swing era in a high-energy livestreamed concert on Jan. 28.
A bit like today, the 1930s and ’40s were hard times for many folks. The Andrews Sisters, with their upbeat and airtight harmonies, brought joy and inspiration to an entire generation of Americans. Today, Lisa Richter, Aimee Lee, and Kathy Mueller bring that music back to life with all of the same energy.
This 6:30 p.m. show will be live-streamed from the Performing Arts Center at Eden Prairie High School. Your family can enjoy it at home by purchasing a general-admission ticket for $25 or a VIP-admission ticket for $100. A VIP ticket also includes a gift box with goodies that will add to your concert-viewing pleasure.
Concert proceeds will benefit the programs of Eden Prairie A.M. Rotary, including its longstanding tradition of helping residents in need by issuing grants to local nonprofits.
Purchase your ticket on Eventbrite – search for “Rotary Rocks the Prairie” on Eventbrite or go directly to https://bit.ly/2021RotaryRocksThePrairie – and you’ll be sent a link shortly before the concert. (No paper tickets are being issued.)
Business sponsors of this event include Jamison Optical, Lone Birch Realty, and Metropolitan Ford Eden Prairie. For more information about the concert, contact Rotarian Frank Sherwood at fsherwood@comcast.net or (612) 978-4165.
A.M. Rotary is an Eden Prairie civic organization that follows the motto “Service Above Self.” It meets at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Details about the club are at www.epamrotary.org.
