Webinar: Detours Ahead: I-494 Construction Impacts & Options

Join Commuter Services and the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the free webinar, Detours Ahead: I-494 Construction Impacts and Options, set for 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, July 26.

MnDOT recently embarked on the first phase of a long-term road construction vision known as the I-494 Airport to Highway 169 project. The I-494 Edina to Richfield project is the first phase and will last through 2026. It includes the addition of E-ZPass lanes, bridge improvements, a new pedestrian bridge, and construction of a new interchange at I-35W and I-494.

MnDOT I-494 Airport to Highway 169 Construction Manager Tim Clyne and MnDOT I-494 Edina to Richfield Project Manager Greg Asche will take attendees through the details and timing of this project. They will also review the I-494 Bridge over the Minnesota River, which covers I-494 from Pilot Knob Road in Eagan to Highway 77; as well as the I-35W Bloomington construction project now underway.

Afterward, Commuter Services will cover the commuting options available to residents, commuters, and employers. These tools not only offer options to getting around in road construction but are sustainable modes that will help to address greenhouse gas emissions in the region.

This important webinar will be recorded, and links to the recording and project information slides will be made available to everyone who registers. To attend or get access to these resources, register now.
