See the Art Exhibit!

Unearthing Hmong Art & Nature – Arboretum

This exhibition will feature the works of 12 Hmong artists with creations representing nature, the land and home. The artists will showcase paintings, mixed media, ceramics and more that expand on cultural practices, plants, food and art as expression and medicine — art heals. It is an accompaniment to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum’s Garden Gallery “Seeds of Knowledge & Healing,” created by community partner Zongxee Lee. Lee, who comes from a family of herbalists and shamans, curated the garden in 2024 at the Arboretum as part of a two-year living exhibit of medicinal plants used in traditional Hmong foods and remedies that are being conserved, studied and shared. Please reserve your gate admission in advance.
