Tour of Discovery Point

Tour Nine Mile Creek Watershed District’s Discovery Point with Gael Zembal, Education & Outreach Coordinator.

Discovery Point is a 5.3 acre wooded site in an Eden Prairie residential neighborhood, overlooking the Cardinal Creek Conservation Area.

It is the headquarters of the NMCWD which manages about 50 square miles of land that drains into Nine Mile Creek.

Discovery Point is also a unique educational facility; visitors learn best practices in water management and conservation in a natural setting.

The site connects to walking trails and a wetland. Removal of invasive species and restoration of native plant communities on the property are ongoing projects.

The event is co-sponsored by Wild Ones Prairie Edge, which will hold a tour on the evening of Aug 12, 6-8pm, for those who can’t make it Friday afternoon. We hope you can join us for a tour of this special place.
