Ready Set FAFSA! Session #5: Earn College Credit in High School

Ready Set FAFSA! is a series of free financial aid events available to Minnesota students and families via Zoom. The series, running on Tuesday evenings in January, is intended for current high school students and will cover general information about the college application and financial aid process; details on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Minnesota Dream Act. All sessions will have interpretation in Spanish, Somali and Hmong. Students who attend any of the sessions will be entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 scholarship (one entry per session attended). 

These sessions are offered by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, Minnesota Department of Education, ECMC The College Place and Minnesota Goes to College. For session dates, topics and registration, visit the Ready Set FAFSA! landing page.

Session #5: Earn College Credit in High School

Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

Suggested audience: 8th-11th grade students and their parent(s)/guardian(s)

Join us to learn about the different ways high school students can earn college credit while in high school. We will discuss Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, and explain the differences between Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) and College in the High School. We will provide some benefits of the different programs and courses, eligibility requirements, and how to access these options.
