Optimist Club Oratorical “Speech” Contest for Kids!

YOUR KID COULD WIN! The Eden Prairie Optimist Club is asking area students to speak out on their thoughts on the topic “Healing the World with Optimism” as part of the Optimist Club Oratorical “Speech” Contest for the 2020-21 school year. The Contest will be an online, video-based competition this year. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners receive medallions and gift cards. The top 2 speeches advance to compete for a college scholarship! The Minnesota-Manitoba-Dakotas District awards college scholarships up to $2,500. Comment or message us to learn more!

“As they prepare for their future, many of our local students need experience expressing their thoughts and opinions to an audience,” Club President Dave Foulke says. “The Oratorical Contest challenges them to do just that and also offers an opportunity for scholarships. In this way, our club hopes to bring out the best in each of them and help them achieve their goals for the future.”
