Native Plant Garden Tour

This Saturday, the Lawns to Legumes program is sponsoring tours of native gardens throughout the state of Minnesota.

In Eden Prairie, you can tour the extensive native landscape of Marilynn and Tom who are members of the Wild Ones Prairie Edge chapter. Marilynn is also the president of the chapter. She and Tom nurture 100+ species of native flowers, shrubs, sedges, ferns and grasses in three rain gardens, a shoreline planting, and a boulevard garden. The address is on the Wild Ones Prairie Edge website under Tours, and on the Blue Thumb Garden Tour page. One other garden in Eden Prairie is on the Blue Thumb’s tour list, and there are others in the surrounding suburbs. The forecast is for great weather — a wonderful morning for this fun activity!
