Chess story takes the audience into the intricate world of chess. For centuries this game fascinated the most curious minds around the globe. This story is centered around a grandmaster, who dreams about black and white chess figures transforming into whimsical creatures on her imaginary board and then finds herself inside the chess game. The finesse of the white chess is countered with the ruthless strength of the black chess. She clearly senses two very different approaches to the game. Which strategy is going to win?

La Danse Fatale is a non-profit ballet company comprised of dancers ranging from ages 12 to 18, and offers performing opportunities for serious dancers as a transition to the professional stage. Performances are directed and choreographed by Julia Levina, the company’s artistic director.
