Invasive Species Removal in Riley Creek Conservation Area

Help preserve Riley Creek Woods, by cutting and removing buckthorn at the Tilia Ridge trail (across from 17256 Tilia Ridge). This will be a cut-and-treat removal event.

Volunteers should wear long pants, sturdy boots, and gloves. Extra gloves, tools, and eye protection will be available. Please bring any pruning saws and loppers you wish to use, a limited selection of them will be available if you don’t bring them.

This event is open to ages 12+. All volunteers must sign a waiver to participate. Waivers will be available on-site at the event. Training on how to identify buckthorn and look-alike species as well as safe cut-and-treat method will be provided at the event.
