Friends of Eden Prairie Parks General Meeting – Buckthorn Removal Information
- Our next FEPP meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, September 13th at Eden Prairie City Center. Our focus topic is buckthorn identification and removal methods in Eden Prairie Parks. This invasive species becomes more of a hot topic beginning in early fall because that is when removal efforts are most successful. We will cover the two major species of buckthorn in our area, as well as some native look-alike plants. Treatment and removal methods will be discussed. At the end of the meeting, we will invite you to nominate a park for a buckthorn removal event!
