Family Fun at the Art Center
Spend some quality family time outside of the house while learning new skills. For added safety, sessions have small group sizes, separate household tables/areas for working, sanitized supplies/equipment and spaced seating. No experience necessary. All supplies provided. Both youth and accompanying adults participate in the entire class and complete their own project. All participants must register, and any youth ages 7 – 14 must have an enrolled adult with them.
Aug. 7, Craftism- Woven Wall Hanging
Craftism is a form of activism using traditional craft media such as weaving, sewing, macramé, and more. In this workshop, participants learn to use the act of weaving as a form or mindfulness to focus on their breathing. Then, everyone is encouraged to give away their handmade items as a gift of kindness to someone they do not know well, but would like to.
