Electrify Everything is a new Minnesota program to engage and inform residents about how you can electrify your home and connect with contractors and resources to accomplish your home energy goals. Participants will learn what home electrification is, the benefits of home electrification, resources to help pay for projects, and how to take the first step.
Home electrification is the process of transitioning a home from fossil fuel (such as natural gas)-powered home and water heating equipment and appliances like clothes dryers and ranges, to using only electricity. Whether you want to prioritize improving indoor air quality and home health and safety, lowering your impact on the environment, or keeping upfront costs down, the program provides step by step guidance so households can develop a plan to electrify their homes on a realistic timeline and take full advantage of federal and local financial incentives and support. So that residents aren’t left doing their own research, the Electrify Everything program provides information about technical and financial resources along the electrification journey.
Attend this workshop for an introduction to electrification and to get many of your questions answered. All residents of Eden Prairie, Edina and St. Louis Park (both homeowners and renters) are welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.
Electrify Everything is a city program founded by the cities of Eden Prairie, Edina, Minneapolis, and St. Louis Park, with support from the Center for Energy & Environment.
For now, this workshop is available for residents of Eden Prairie, Edina, and St. Louis Park. If there are still spots available one week before the workshop, we may open up registration to residents beyond the three cities.
