Cycle the Creek

At 50 square miles, the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District is home to many diverse water resources, including three creeks, fifteen lakes, and many acres of wetlands. Our community boasts extensive walking and biking trails, perfect for enjoying these water bodies, and this fall the watershed district is hosting a 6-mile bicycle ride along Purgatory Creek. At stops along the way we’ll discover new things about Purgatory Creek, the work the watershed district is undertaking to keep it clean, and what you can do to help. Lunch will be provided after the ride. This is a family friendly event, and minors need to be accompanied by an adult. Helmets are a must. Space is limited for safety, so register early!
