Catalytic Converter Marking Event
With an increase in catalytic converter thefts both here in Eden Prairie and across the country, communities have been hosting marking events where residents can have their catalytic converters engraved in an effort to deter thieves.
Eden Prairie is hosting catalytic converter marking event Saturday, Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City’s Maintenance Facility (15150 Technology Drive). The event is limited to 24 vehicles and is for Eden Prairie residents only. Reservations are required and drive-ups will not be admitted.
To reserve your spot, call the EPPD at 952-949-6200, Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You must provide your name, phone number and an email address. Registration will be open until the slots are full. The Department may offer future marking events depending on demand.
Registered participants are required to sign a liability waiver which will be emailed to them. The person signing the waiver must be the registered owner of the vehicle.
Each participant will receive a window cling indicating the EPPD has marked the vehicle’s catalytic converter.
