Bringing Home Our Relatives
Learn about the ongoing 10,000-year relationship between the Dakota people and their relatives, the Bison (Tatanka), from Tori Campbell from the Prairie Island Indian Community which has a large Bison herd. Experience a hands-on exhibit of how every part of the Bison was used and its importance for the Dakota people, and try a tasty Bison hot dog. This free program is a collaboration between Bloomington Parks and Recreation and the Prairie Island Indian Community.
