The Eden Prairie boys basketball team continues to develop its identity through a challenging 2-4 start to the 2024-25 season.

The Eagles have drawn strength from the offensive efforts of senior Max Lorenson (26.2 points per game) and junior Hamze Yusuf (20.5). Lorenson’s season-high performance came against Totino-Grace, where he scored 44 points and added six assists in a close 88-85 loss.

“Our team is growing together, working hard and have been tested early,” second-year Eagles head coach Alexander Culver said. “We hope to use the lessons from our tough non-conference schedule to prepare us for what’s ahead.”

The Eagles have earned decisive wins over Waconia (99-72) and Robbinsdale Armstrong (83-67) while staying competitive in other matchups, including a narrow two-point loss to Maple Grove (54-52).
