Both the Eden Prairie High School boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams secured crucial wins on Monday night, advancing to their respective section championships.

The No. 1 Eagles girls’ team defeated No. 4 Chanhassen 11-8 in the Section 2A semifinals. Senior Avery Wallace scored five goals and reached a personal milestone with her 100th career goal.

The girls will host No. 2 seed Minnetonka on Wednesday at 6 p.m. for the Section 2A championship.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 EP boys’ team triumphed 8-7 over No. 1 seed Prior Lake in the Section 6A semifinals held at Prior Lake.
