The City of Eden Prairie is seeking veterans to honor on Memorial Day.

Each year, the city honors veterans during the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Eden Prairie Veterans Memorial in Purgatory Creek Park. Last year, Gary Nash was the keynote speaker, sharing his reflections and experiences as a U.S. Marine infantry officer during the Vietnam War.

Residents are encouraged to submit nominations on the city website for veterans to be honored at next month’s event. Nominees should be honorably discharged U.S. veterans or active-duty military personnel in good standing with an Eden Prairie connection.

The nomination deadline is Friday, May 3.
