Top-down temps: EP’s unusual January warmth

Eden Prairie residents are experiencing a break from winter, with Monday’s high temperature reaching 47 degrees.

The milder temperatures, highlighted by the sight of a convertible in the Eden Prairie Community Center parking lot, starkly contrast the typically frigid January weather in Minnesota.

On this day last year, the National Weather Service in Chanhassen recorded a high of only 3 degrees and a low of -7. The unseasonable weather is forecast to continue all week.
