    EP girls lacrosse beats Minnetonka 18-14, advances to Section 2A Championship against Chanhassen

    The Eden Prairie girls lacrosse team beat Minnetonka 18-14 on Monday night in the Section 2A Semifinals at Aerie Stadium.

    With this victory, Eden Prairie improved its record to 10-4 and has won eight of its last nine games.

    Eagles junior attacker Kaci Kotschevar-Call (4) scored five goals, while junior attacker Elyza Gengler (8) and senior midfielder Kylie Bamlett (24) each contributed three goals.

    The Eagles will advance to play Chanhassen in the Section 2A Championship game at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Chanhassen High School.

    Boys lacrosse

    The Eden Prairie boys lacrosse team lost 7-5 to Shakopee on Monday in the Section 2A Semifinals at Shakopee West Middle School.

    The Eagles finished their season with a 9-6 record.
