The Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) has hired Isaac Kerry as its education reporter.

Isaac Kerry with his two daughters.

Isaac primarily covers the Eden Prairie School District. But, he will also occasionally write stories about other schools in Eden Prairie, such as The International School of Minnesota, Hennepin Technical College, and PiM Arts High School.

He moved here in 2019 with his wife and two daughters. They love the community so far and look forward to exploring it more in a pandemic-free world.

Isaac has been a stay-at-home dad for the past nine years. In addition to full-time dad duties, he has collected a bevy of part-time jobs. He serves on the Eden Prairie Fire Department, has written a dozen children’s books, and works as a developer for a role-playing game publisher.

Isaac was a reporter and eventually the news editor for his school paper in college. Post-college, he has consumed a most-likely unhealthy amount of news daily. With two young daughters, schools and education are incredibly important topics to him, and he is thrilled to be able to cover the city’s schools.

To reach Isaac with story ideas or questions, contact him at isaac.kerry@eplocalnews.org.
