A little rain didn’t stop the crowds from turning out for the Eden Prairie Community Foundation’s annual Prairie Wine & Brewfest on Sept. 6 at Purgatory Creek Park.
Executive Director Greg Leeper said the afternoon drew a good turnout despite showers and that “people had a really good time.”
Through the event’s Choice Grant voting, PROP Food received first place and a $3,000 grant. Every Meal, a Twin Cities nonprofit that fights child hunger, placed second and earned $2,000. Eden Prairie Local News finished third and receives $1,000.
The festival, formerly known as Prairie Brewfest, expanded its wine offerings this year and featured local breweries, food trucks, live music and games.
