Memorial Day Ceremony

Join friends and neighbors for a special Memorial Day ceremony to honor those who have served our country and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

This year’s event features keynote speaker Mary Johnson, an active member of Blue Star Mothers of America, a national organization of mothers supporting active-duty service members, veterans and each other. She currently serves as 3rd Vice President for both the Minnesota Department and the national board. Mary’s journey as a military mother began in 2006 when her sons enlisted in the Army and Navy. After losing her son Thomas in 2013 while he was on active duty, she became a Gold Star Mother, dedicating her life to honoring his legacy. Mary is a passionate advocate for Gold Star Families, Blue Star Families and veterans across the country.

The program also includes patriotic music performed by the Eden Prairie Community Band, and recognition of two local Eden Prairie veterans.
