The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will host a virtual public meeting Tuesday, May 14, to outline planned repairs and closures on Highways 212 and 5 in Eden Prairie.
The online meeting will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and begin with a project presentation by MnDOT staff, followed by a Q&A session. A live meeting link will be posted shortly before the start time on the project webpage, where a recording will also be available afterward.
The project, scheduled from June through September, includes concrete repair, shoulder paving, and guardrail updates on both highways between Eden Prairie Road and Interstate 494.
Motorists can expect ramp, shoulder, and lane closures during construction. Crews will work in one direction at a time – eastbound or westbound – leaving at least one lane open. Highway 5 will close for two weekends with a detour using Highway 41 and Highway 212. The ramp from Mitchell Road to westbound Highway 5 will be closed for the duration of the project.
All closures are tentative and weather dependent.
