Principles of Bike Safety
Friday, May 9 | 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Get your biking season rolling with safety in mind! Join Commuter Services and BikeMN for the Principles of Bike Safety free webinar on Friday, May 9.
The Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) leads the state in bicycle education programs and initiatives, and we are thrilled to have BikeMN’s Deputy Director Angela Olson lead the Bike Safety 101 webinar.
Angela’s presentation will cover the basics of bike safety. She’ll start with principles of bike safety, including equipment and fit, biking behavior, and preparing to ride. Then, she’ll move on to bike basics—Minnesota bike laws, lane positioning, night riding, and personal safety.
If you’re new to biking or need a refresher, this online safety session will help you and your family have a successful – and safe – biking season.
Then, Commuter Services will give a brief overview of our free biking commuting resources and other sustainable commute options available for employers, commuters, and residents.
Registration is open. This webinar will be recorded; all who register will also receive a link to the recording for on-demand viewing and a set of the session slides.
