    Dear EPLN readers,

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re excited to share some incredible news: Eden Prairie Local News (EPLN) has successfully concluded its NewsMatch campaign. Thanks to your generous support, we reached our ambitious goal of raising $75,000 since Nov. 1, up from $50,000 in 2023.

Your contributions unlocked an additional $28,500 in matching funds and bonuses from foundations organized by the Institute for Nonprofit News. Beyond the numbers, your thoughtful affirmations, along with your donations, validate our commitment to serving the community.

As a donor, you’ve made it possible for EPLN to:

    • Keep our journalism accessible to everyone by operating without a paywall.
    • Distribute printed Voter Guides to every Eden Prairie household, empowering informed decisions.

Your impact extends even further. Inspired by EPLN’s success, communities in Woodbury, Prior Lake, eastern Carver County, Jordan/Shakopee, and Menomonie, Wisconsin, launched their own nonprofit newsrooms in 2024 – with more expected in 2025.

Looking ahead, we remain laser-focused on serving Eden Prairie. The funds you’ve entrusted to us will help us expand our coverage and deepen our commitment in 2025.

We value your input and invite you to share your questions, ideas, or feedback anytime at editor@eplocalnews.org.

Thank you for believing in the power of local news and for making it all possible.

    With gratitude,

Steve Schewe, publisher, Eden Prairie Local News
