A woman and two children were struck by a vehicle that fled the scene Thursday evening in Eden Prairie, according to police.
Police and fire crews responded about 8:20 p.m. to Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive, where a hit-and-run involving pedestrians had been reported, the Eden Prairie Police Department said in a social media post.
The preliminary investigation indicates the woman was crossing Mitchell Road in the crosswalk with four children, pulling a wagon with two of them. A northbound white sedan struck the woman and two children in the wagon before driving away, police said.
The woman and one child suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while another child was critically injured. All three were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle to call 911. No additional details were immediately available.
