A 29-year-old New Hope man has been charged with two felony counts of threats of violence after police say he made threats at an Eden Prairie house party and later to an officer, according to a Hennepin County criminal complaint.
Jeremy Rollin Harvey was at a party on Aug. 10 at a home on Kara Drive when he became loud and aggressive, the complaint states. He allegedly pushed his girlfriend, told her he had a gun and cocked what appeared to be a firearm. Police later stopped a vehicle Harvey was in and recovered a CO₂-powered pistol from his seat, according to the complaint.
While being taken to jail, Harvey allegedly threatened an Eden Prairie officer, the filing says.
Harvey was booked into Hennepin County Jail on Aug. 11 and released on Aug. 14, according to jail records. He is scheduled for a Sept. 9 omnibus hearing in Hennepin County District Court. Bail was set at $50,000 without conditions or $10,000 with conditions including no contact with the victim and no weapons or alcohol.
Each charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
