Cedar Ridge Elementary School will host a community interview night from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, with up to three finalists for the open principal position at the school, 8905 Braxton Drive.
The interview night comes almost a month after Valora Unowsky, the previous principal of Cedar Ridge, announced she would be leaving the school district for a senior executive academic officer position with St. Paul Public Schools.
Community members are invited to participate by scoring the candidates as they answer questions. The hiring team will review the feedback as they determine who to invite for a final interview.
According to the school district’s website, community participants are required to stay for the entire duration of the event and will not be able to provide feedback if they arrive after 6:30 p.m.
A light meal and child care will be provided, and Spanish and Somali language interpretation will be available at the event. Attendees can RSVP for the community night here.
