    Eden Prairie appoints 35 student commissioners

    The Eden Prairie City Council on Monday appointed 35 high school students to serve on city commissions for the 2025-26 school year.

    The appointments are part of the city’s Students on Commissions program, which allows Eden Prairie juniors and seniors to participate in local government by contributing to official advisory boards. Students gain firsthand experience with municipal processes and community decision-making.

    Students will serve on the following commissions:

    • Flying Cloud Airport: Kaavya Checka, Ava Mahan-Cleveland, Liam Kremer, Jiya Nair, Avery Robinson, Om Roshan, Ava Willette
    • Heritage Preservation: Jaya Agrawal, Nico Allen, Kadie Crider, Tatum Hesby, Annika Rice, Fiona Rohde
    • Human Rights and Diversity: Nawal Abdullahi, Abdulrahman Ali, Jia Chenchlani, Roshini Drakshapally, Ikra Ibrahim, Anjolaoluwa Raimi, Gatrika Ravella
    • Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources: Jack Dennison, Ani Dirks, Everett Gilligan, Seth Gilligan, Simone Kaura, Allison Schuessler, Daniel Siegert, Rose Wicks
    • Sustainability: Avni Maheshwari, Shailee Rana, Paili Rice, Atharva Sarmah, Jhansi Senthilkumar, Syon Shetty, Ipshita Tiwari

    Students were selected through an application process open to high school juniors and seniors who live in Eden Prairie.
