It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Harriet Elaine Johnson, who died peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on July 29, 1938, in Chisago, Minnesota, Harriet was a cherished member of the community, known for her kindness, generosity and unwavering spirit.

Family was at the heart of Harriet’s life. She was a devoted spouse to Gerald, who died in 2022, and a loving parent and grandparent. Harriet was preceded in death by her son Garry and is survived by her children David, Brian (Jodi), and Pamela (James) Murray; and grandchildren Christopher, Riley, Grant and McKenzie Johnson, and Keagan and Keller Murray. They will forever cherish their memories of her and carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
Harriet was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lions Club and numerous other volunteer endeavors, where she shared her time and talents generously. Her commitment to making the world a better place was evident in her philanthropy and the countless lives she touched with her kindness.
In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of Harriet’s remarkable life and the love she shared with us all. May her soul rest in peace, and may we continue to celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
A celebration of Harriet’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie. Family, friends and all whose lives were touched by Harriet are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity or organization of your choice in Harriet’s honor.
