All SouthWest Transit services will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day. This includes bus routes from SouthWest Station in Eden Prairie, SWPrime ride-sharing services, and SW Shuttle services.
The new 686 bus route between SouthWest Station and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) will also experience upcoming delays due to highway closures and construction on Interstates 494 and 35W. Delays are expected on the following dates: May 30-June 2, June 6-9, and June 13-16.
Delays are expected for the 686 as there will be a route deviation off of I-494 (the 686X express route between SouthWest Station and MSP) and along American Boulevard. Passengers are asked to allow extra travel time for both the 686X and the 686L local route, due to increased traffic flow.
Additionally, SouthWest Transit’s SouthWest Village (SWV) station in Chanhassen will close for approximately six weeks beginning June 2 for an exterior restoration project, which will replace pavers and hardscape. SW Transit, SW Shuttle and SW Prime services will continue to operate from SouthWest Station and East Creek (EC) in Chaska during that time.
