
Eden Prairie High School’s baseball team fell 3-2 to Buffalo on Thursday, May 22, during the Eagles’ senior night at Round Lake Stadium. The Eagles outhit the Bison 8-7, but Buffalo scored the deciding run in the eighth inning.
The Eagles tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning when sophomore Quaid Johnson scored on a clutch RBI single by sophomore Luke Elliot. Buffalo answered in the eighth with back-to-back doubles to bring in the go-ahead run.
Senior pitcher Matt Milke struck out seven over four innings, allowing two hits and one earned run. Senior third baseman Nick Burroughs went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Before the game, Eden Prairie honored 11 seniors, including Milke, who is the only senior planning to play collegiate baseball. He is currently undecided on his college and major.
The team also announced its annual honors:
- Eagle Award – senior Nick Burroughs
- Offensive Player of the Year – junior Brady Anderson
- Defensive Player of the Year and Team MVP – sophomore Quaid Johnson
With the loss, Eden Prairie’s overall record stands at 4-14. The Eagles wrapped up their regular season Friday night at home against Edina and are set to learn their first-round opponent for the section playoffs on Saturday.
