Drivers on Highway 101 in Chanhassen and Eden Prairie should expect daytime lane closures Monday, May 19, as crews work on intersection markings, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced Friday.
From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., lane closures will occur intermittently at several intersections: Pleasantview Road, Choctaw Circle, Kurvers Point Road/Valley View Road, and 78th Street.
In the coming weeks, crews also plan to briefly close the trail on the west side of the highway near Purgatory Creek and Twilight Trail to complete additional work.
The work is part of an ongoing construction project on Hwy. 101 between Highway 5 in Chanhassen and County Road 62/Townline Road in Eden Prairie. The project, which began in June 2024, includes resurfacing the road, reconstructing the trail on the west side, installing overhead pedestrian signals at Twilight Trail and Valley View Road, addressing drainage issues at Purgatory Creek, and improving pedestrian crossings and curb ramps.
Completion is anticipated in June.
MnDOT encourages drivers to plan ahead, check 511mn.org for updates, and allow extra travel time. All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather- and schedule-dependent and subject to change.
