
The Eden Prairie girls golf team, paced by senior Natalie McNeil’s team-low 172, finished fourth at the Edina Girls Prep Classic Invitational, held May 12-13 at Oak Ridge Country Club in Hopkins.
McNeil shot rounds of 84 and 88 to place eighth in the individual standings. Junior Maggie McGee tied for 14th with a total of 188 (95-93).
The individual title went to Orono senior Ava Hanneman, who won medalist honors with a two-day score of 147.
Eden Prairie posted a team score of 754, finishing ahead of Chaska (755) and Chanhassen (805). Minnetonka won the tournament with a 649, followed by Edina (705) and Orono (737).
Freshman Ella Anderson (95-103) and eighth grader Ellie Dessner (96-101) made their varsity 18-hole debuts. According to McNeil, the milestone was an exciting moment for the team.
Juniors Logan Hacking (111-102) and Saunie Checco (109-106) also contributed to the team total.
The six-team field included schools from the Lake and Metro West conferences.
