    EPLN OBITUARIES

    Fred Richard Hagen, age 91, of Minnetonka and Plymouth, passed away April 2, 2025. He was born Jan. 28, 1934. Fred was a longtime teacher and football coach at Eden Prairie High School.

    He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne; son, Steven (Patti); daughters, Laura Rickabaugh (Dan) and Carrie Sorenson (Jim); half-brother, Bryan Hagen; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

    A special thank-you to the staff at Folkestone in Wayzata for the loving care provided to Fred these past few years.

    A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Messiah Methodist Church, 17805 County Road 6, Plymouth. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Lunch will follow. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2 p.m.

    Memorials preferred to Presbyterian Homes Foundation or Interfaith Outreach, Plymouth.
