    Floyd Berntsen

    EPLN OBITUARIES

    Floyd Allen Berntsen, 92, of Eden Prairie, went to heaven peacefully at home on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Floyd was the 11th of 12 children, born April 12, 1932, to Thorvald (Thomas) and Martha Pauline (Peterson) Berntsen in Hermantown, St. Louis County, Minnesota.

    He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of more than 47 years, Margaret (Gjersvik) Berntsen; his parents; and all his siblings: Raymond, Walter, Stanley, Eleanor, Mabel, Lester, Delaine, Vernon, Erling, Joyce, and Beverly. He was also preceded by other relatives and friends whom he missed, talked about, and prayed for every day.

    He is survived by his children, Lisa (Daniel) Seery and Brett (Angela) Berntsen; cherished grandchildren he loved dearly, Samantha, Johnathan, Zachary, Chyenne (Matthew), and Keely; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and great friends.

    A celebration of Floyd’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie, with visitation one hour prior at 10 a.m.

    A livestream of the service will be available via livestream.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church and may be sent to the church or to Huber Funeral Home, 16394 Glory Lane, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
