PROP sees rising need, seeks donations for MN FoodShare Month

EPLN Staff ReportsBy EPLN Staff ReportsMarch 3, 20251 Min Read

As demand for food assistance rises, PROP Food Shelf in Eden Prairie is rallying the community to help stock its shelves during Minnesota FoodShare Month.

Throughout March, all food and financial contributions to PROP will be proportionally matched by the Minnesota Council of Churches, increasing the impact of donations at a time when more families than ever are seeking assistance.

In 2024, PROP served more than 5,000 individuals from Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, and beyond – a 28% increase over the previous year. The organization also distributed a record-breaking 831,060 pounds of food.

To meet this rising need, PROP has set a goal of raising $125,000 and collecting 125,000 pounds of donated food.

Financial donations can be made online or by mailing a check to PROP at 14700 Martin Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Food donations are accepted at the same address during regular business hours.

PROP, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides food support, financial assistance, and other services to Eden Prairie and Chanhassen residents experiencing housing, employment, or economic instability.
